Book Review: Passion Project (4/5)

I enjoyed reading this book! I chose this book to kick off my 2026 year of reading. It was fun and funny while still deftly dealing with difficult topics and transitions.

I appreciated that the twists and turns of this book were both internal and external to the characters. There were many times the relationship was tested and each felt significant and built on the story without overshadowing the happy ending.

Bennet Taylor moved to New York for a fresh start, but she’s just marking time after a death upended her whole life. Her roommate, trying to be helpful, sets her up on a blind date which she misses. It isn’t a great night, but she won’t ever have to see him…

Henry Adams seems like the carefree outgoing type, but he isn’t happy when he gets stood up. That should really be the end of it, but then he sees Bennet…and sees her again…

Each with their own motivations, they decide to start meeting up weekly to help Bennet find their passion.
