I went to school for mechanical engineering because I wanted a stable career and enjoyed the mix of science and creativity.

During the pandemic, I sought more structure in my life and decided to go back to school online while working full time.

New Things
I worked in technical project management as a PMI PMP (if you know, you know) certified project manager for 7 years when I decided to try other planning and management based careers. I was tired of large corporate companies refusing to treat me with respect and denying me fair pay.
Unexpected
I was expecting to love, love, love working in a book store and quickly realized I missed the rigor and complexity of traditional project management.
Even More Unexpected
I took a part time job at a kid’s swim school and ended up loving it!
But also I miss project management and am back to applying for jobs (much less stressful to do when you already have a job though).
